Antibody tests won't tell you if you have an active infection. They will, however, provide you with information about a previous exposure to COVID-19.
All antibody testing manufacturers providing COVID-19 screening in the USA have submitted their clinical testing data to the FDA and receive an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Current EUA approval requires all antibody tests to accurately identify at least 90% of positive cases (sensitivity), and 95% of negative cases (specificity).
